Couple skip this place, its a gem
The pub downstairs offered an very nice burger I haven't had in ages , staff were really friendly. We got some complimentary Prosecco and strawberries for our anniversary, made the occasion feel special.
It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly but honestly acceptable for what we got.

Had a lovely stay! The owners, Elma and Martin, greeted us warmly and carried our bags to the room. The Double or Twin Room with Private Bathroom felt cozy and clean, perfect for a short getaway. Comfy bed made nights restful. Breakfast was a standout – the spread included lots of fresh fruit and a varied selection of cereals. The cooked breakfast exceeded expectations. the steep stairs made access a challenge for my wife due to her slight mobility issues. a charming pub hotel experience, but a lift or more accessible room options would definitely enhance comfort.

The burger was burnt, but the cozy vibe in the bar was nice.

It was just a well-suited match for a quick stop in Kirkconnel with incredible value for money. The bathrooms were very clean and newly painted, which was a nice surprise. Bring some earplugs if you're not an early riser because the workmen start early!

Bathrooms were nice and clean, offering a choice between a shower room and a separate toilet. Lovely soft towels made the experience comfortable and welcoming.
No en-suite options in the Double or Twin Room, which might catch some off guard. While the bathrooms were well-maintained, the arrangement could feel a bit cramped for those used to more private setups.

clean bathrooms, newly painted rooms, quiet location
Reception at the bar could feel a bit awkward with local clientele commenting on guests!!! The shower temperature fluctuated wildly, making the experience frustrating!!! A little more attention to the food quality would enhance the stay!!!

Had a fantastic anniversary stay! The warm welcome with Prosecco and chocolates made it special. Loved the cozy pub atmosphere and the hearty breakfast options. The only slight hiccup was figuring out the Wi-Fi, but overall, it was a perfect getaway!

Comfortable Stay with Great Bath Options
Had a lovely evening in the double room with a private bathroom. The bath was spacious and a perfect way to unwind after a long day. A heads up for taller guests, the shower might feel a tad cozy. Enjoy breakfast as it offers a variety of options.
